EVP Evidence

This is the page for EVPs we have gathered during an investigation.  Any confidential information is removed unless consent has obtained from our client.

EVPs, EVP, or Electronic Voice Phenomenon, is the capture of a disembodied voice on electronic media which generally is not heard by the human ear at the time of recording. Following are a few of the many EVPs our members have captured.  Most of these were captured using digital voice recorders, but there are a few captured using analog tape recorders.  The analog recordings generally have more noise or hiss in the background.  We don't believe one format to be superior to the other in EVP captures.  Digital recorders are easier to store and retrieve audio and smaller and easier to handle.  Most members will use digital recorders for these reasons.

EVPs on this page will be added or deleted as we feel necessary to present our evidence.

"I'm coming"  As the investigators are leaving a Nashville, TN client's house, a young girl is heard saying "I'm coming...".

"My Momma..."  As the investigators are talking amongst themselves at a Brentwood, TN hotel, a young girl is caught saying "My Momma was a dairy farmer".

"My back hurts" As the investigators are talking amongst themselves at the same hotel, a young girl's voice is captured stating "My back hurts".

"Walk on"  Captured during a visit to the Carnton House cemetery in Franklin, TN, a disembodied voice says gently "Walk on".

"Yes.. oh yes"  Captured during the same visit to the Carnton House cemetery, a voice says gently "Yes, oh yes".

"Lie" During a conversation between investigators at a private residence in Mt. Pleasant, TN, a voice clearly says "Lie".

"When" During a conversation between investigators at the same Mt. Pleasant residence a voice says "When". One-word EVPs are common.

"Comfortable"  During an overnight visit to the Thomas House Hotel in Red Boiling Springs, TN, this voice repeats the last word of the speaker.  This type of EVP is more valuable to us as it represents a more intelligent spirit that can interact with the investigator or others in the vicinity.

"Don't touch"  During the same visit to the Thomas House Hotel this voice says "Don't touch" right after a person present is commenting on the blue sink in the room.  This appears to be another example of a spirit interacting with the persons in the room.

"Okay" During this same visit at the Thomas House Hotel, the voice says "Okay" during a conversation about a room's decor.

"There's tension.."  The same visit at the Thomas House Hotel, a voice says "There's tension..." and then trails off.  This was recorded during a stroll down a corridor.

"Go" During an EVP at a member's house, the spirit tells us what to do.

"Gunshot" During a visit to a West Nashville pizzeria that was the scene of brutal multiple murders the night before, a gunshot is clearly heard during a recording session outside.
